Trump Accomplice Alleges Improper Ties Between Fani Willis and Prosecutor

January 9, 2024 0 Posted By Kaptain Kush

In legal proceedings surrounding Donald Trump‘s alleged interference in the Georgia election, co-defendant Michael Roman has made startling accusations against Fani Willis, the district attorney overseeing the case. Michael Roman, through his attorney, filed a motion seeking dismissal of charges, alleging that Willis is romantically involved with prosecutor Nathan Wade, a key figure in the prosecution team. The court document claims that Willis intentionally withheld information about this relationship, raising concerns about potential personal gains from Wade’s involvement in the case.

Despite the serious allegations, the filing lacks concrete evidence of the purported relationship, relying on statements that “sources close to both the special prosecutor and the district attorney have confirmed they had an ongoing, personal relationship.” Roman‘s legal representation contends that the alleged couple utilized funds from legal fees linked to the case for personal vacations to Florida, Napa Valley, and a Caribbean cruise.

The court document asserts, “Willis has benefited substantially and directly, and continues to benefit, from this litigation because Wade is being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to prosecute this case on her behalf.”

Fani Willis, the district attorney for Fulton County in Georgia, has not directly responded to these accusations. A spokesperson on her behalf has indicated that she will address the claims through court filings.

Michael Roman, a former staffer for the ex-president who served as the director of election day operations for Trump‘s 2020 campaign, faces seven felony charges in Fulton County related to organizing slates of Trump electors in states won by Joe Biden. The wider Georgia case involves 18 co-defendants alongside Trump, who is accused of attempting to overturn Biden‘s victory in the state.

Donald Trump, currently facing a total of 13 charges in Georgia over his alleged efforts to undermine the election results, is actively seeking immunity from prosecution. His attorney, Steve Sadow, contends that Trump‘s actions were within the scope of his official duties as president, rendering him immune from prosecution. Despite the legal challenges, Trump remains the frontrunner for the Republican nomination in the upcoming presidential election.
