Von Miller Turns Himself In: Arrest Warrant Issued
December 1, 2023Buffalo Bills linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller has turned himself in to the police following an arrest warrant issued in connection with an alleged domestic violence case involving a pregnant woman.
The incident unfolded on Wednesday when police responded to a “major disturbance” at Miller‘s residence in Dallas. The 35-year-old player is accused of engaging in an argument and “assaulting a pregnant person.” Miller left the scene before the police arrived.
The victim, who suffered minor injuries, was treated for the same. The Glenn Heights Police Department confirmed that Miller turned himself in on Thursday afternoon. He was booked into DeSoto Tri-City Jail in Texas, posted a $5,000 (£3,960) bond, and was released.
In response to the incident, the Buffalo Bills issued a statement on Wednesday, acknowledging the matter and stating that they were “in the process of gathering more information.” The National Football League (NFL) also intends to “follow all legal developments.”
The charge that Miller faces for assaulting a pregnant woman is classified as a third-degree felony in Texas and carries the potential for imprisonment. As legal proceedings unfold, the case has raised concerns and questions about Miller‘s conduct off the field. Further developments are anticipated as the investigation progresses.
