Vivica Anjanetta Fox was born in South Bend, Indiana, on July 30, 1964. Shortly after her birth, her family relocated to Benton Harbor, Michigan. She is now 60 years old in 2024.

Fox’s father, William Fox, worked as a school administrator, and her mother, Everlyena Fox, was a pharmaceutical technician. Her family provided a strong foundation, encouraging her to pursue higher education and her early ambitions in entertainment.
